for the sake of children who are in dire need of our

KUALA LUMPUR, Saturday, August 18 (TheStar) -- As
Aug 31 looms, more and more companies are unveiling
grand plans to celebrate the nation’s 50th National
Day. Amid the flurry of activities leading up to the
country’s 50th anniversary, one organisation
has scored a first with a campaign that encourages
children to submit their photographs and visions for
the nation.
In lending voice to the youths of Malaysia with its
Our Vision for the Nation (OVFN) campaign, the Yayasan
Harapan Kanak-kanak Malaysia (YHKM) also hopes to
raise at least RM3 million to aid 10 cash-strapped
charities......

Friday July 13, 2007 (TheStar) -- OVFN or Our Vision
for the Nation receives some funny, heartfelt and unique
visions from the disabled children on how Malaysia is
to them.
“OVFN is a collaboration of 10 charity organisations,
spearheaded by Yayasan Harapan Kanak-Kanak Malaysia
(YHKM), that aims to ensure that the visions and hopes
of children will be heard by the nation’s leaders
and shared among Malaysians,” OVFN project director

Friday July 11, 2007 (TheStar) -- Under this campaign,
children will be given the chance to state their vision
for the country and their photographs will then be made
into a montage of the Malaysian flag, to be raised by
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on Merdeka

Campaign To Collect A Million Pictures Of Malaysian
Children Launched KUALA LUMPUR, May 31 (Bernama)
-- Yayasan Harapan Kanak-kanak Malaysia has launched
a campaign to collect a million photographs of Malaysian
children to be made into a mural in the form of the
"Jalur Gemilang" (national flag) to mark
the country's 50th independence (Merdeka) anniversary.
Its advisor Tan Sri Zaleha Ismail said the campaign
was different from others as it was to pay tribute
to the contributions of Malaysian children and also
let them have their say......
